Become Involved 

We are keen for you to join our society and share in our learning and social activities. To join Gedfas or to find out more, either e-mail us, or phone the membership secretary, Lyn Blatchford, on 07817 135 189.

Membership

We currently have around 170 members, and no waiting list or joining fee. Our membership year runs from October to September with an annual subscription of £40 per person or £70 for two people living at the same address. This entitles you to attend all 10 lectures for free, book onto our other activities and to be a member of Nadfas, the National organisation. This will mean you receive the high quality National journal every quarter, and can access the nationally organised study days and foreign travel, including tours and cruises led by experts in their fields - and discounts for art galleries and much more.

If you join us mid-year (March onwards) there is a registration fee of £10 and a pro-rata amount is charged for your subscription.

Members' Guests

Members are encouraged to bring guests to lectures. This is a good way to be introduced to the Society and they are always warmly welcomed. As part of you membership you receive a golden ticket to bring along a friend for free and a half price voucher to bring a guest on another occasion. Otherwise visitors are charged £10 per visit and are restricted to 3 visits in any one season. Young people under the age of 24 are welcome to visit at the reduced charge of £3 for as many lectures as they like.

 Other Activities

There is also the opportunity for members to become involved in Church Recording and Heritage Volunteering.
